Back in 1969, Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison challenged New York City moving companies to come up with a way to relocate their large library and records departments, without losing accessibility to these items during preparation and moving.
Globe's President, Mr. Vincent Cibrano, proved to be up to the challenge
by inventing the mobile carrier.

This piece of equipment is
used to move files and books in a manner that keeps them active and
accessible to employees throughout every phase of a move. It was this
invention that was the decisive factor in Globe being awarded the project.
From that successful experience, Globe was fortunate enough to be chosen
to do similar projects for some of the most prominent firms such as Paul
Weiss Rifkind Wharton & Garrison, Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher &
Flom, Debevoise & Plimpton, Stroock, Stroock & Lavan, and Rogers
and Wells. |
| Today Globe is a $10 million dollar company. Our success and sound financial management has prompted Dun & Bradstreet to give us a rating of 3A1, the highest grade given to a company of our size. Each and every
success that we have enjoyed (there have been many) all point back to what
Vincent Cibrano was trying to accomplish when he decided to go into
business some 34 years ago. Mr. Cibrano wanted Globe to provide superior
moving and storage services and treat his clients the way he expected to
be treated as a customer. He felt the best way to accomplish this was to
surround himself with people who held the same convictions as he did. He
made Honesty, Integrity, Pride and Hard Work the cornerstone for his new
business.
Globe’s strict hiring policies are based on these ideals, they give us
only the most qualified and hard working professionals. The way we
accomplish this is by making all possible hires go through a 120 day
evaluation period where he or she is closely scrutinized by key members
our staff. After 90 days senior management meets collectively to review
their findings. These candidates are expected to exude the same enthusiasm
and hard work ethics that Mr. Cibrano himself adheres to even today. That
is why we have managed to stay at the forefront of our industry over the
past 34 years. |
